Title: From the CCP re Glenrowan affair and the recommendation to remove constable Arthur from the Police force
Creator: Public Record Office Victoria
Provenance: VPRS 4965 P0 UNIT 5 ITEM 50 RECORD 1
Transcript: Consideration and in my opinion there is no reasonable doubt that constable Arthur has committed perjury. I would, therefore suggest the desirability of referring the matter to the Crown Solicitor for the purpose of considering if a prosecution for perjury would lie against Arthur. In any case he is a man in whom I could not have the least confidence and I therefore request your authority for his immediate discharge from the Police Force. I have the honor to be, Sir, Your most obedient Servt Chief Commissioner of Police (7)
